Everyone Needs An Alice

I have been thinking. And wishing. I really could use a full time helper/child caregiver/babysitter/cleaning lady/ maid. With anywhere from 4-8 kiddos running around here, a school schedule that I can barely keep up with, etc, etc, it seems like I am always running out of time no matter how efficient I am. And. Believe me. I am efficient. I have simplified. I mean, guys, we are down to one meal a day! haha. I have cut out as many activitiesthatjustcreatemorestress as I feel I can. Like, only taking three potty breaks a day…morning, noon and night. And there just isn’t enough money to stretch in a way that would include any kind of helper/maid/cleaning lady/babysitter.
And, then, one day. A friend of mine introduced me to Alice. And, I love Alice! She is a no-nonsense gal who gets a job done. She is beautifully simple. And, she delivers groceries to my door. Well, not the groceries as in milk and eggs, but the groceries as in TP and shampoo and formula and tampons. Gals, everyone needs an Alice.
She files all the coupons for me and uses them without me even having to remind her. (Usually, I forget about them when I am in the check-out line.) She notifies me when it is time to stock up on shampoo and tells me about all the great bargains available. She is very comparable to the SaveMoney.LiveBetter.Place (Wal-Mart) in the next town over. And I figure that if I do spend a few more bucks over with Alice, it would take that just to get to the SaveMoney.LiveBetter.Place. So. Today in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Season when everyone else is blogging about all the crafty gifts they are crafting and all the yummy treats that are pouring out of their ovens and off of their stovetops, I will do the honors of introducing you to My Friend Alice.
